Everyone succumbs to judgment. Stereotypes, myths, and inaccurate information – often reinforced through media, advertising, and other institutional messages – shape our judgments and fears about people.
Judgments form behaviors. By default or by design, judgments perceived as fact are the root of discrimination. Discrimination is illegal. More importantly, thoughtless and insensitive behaviors devalue people and negatively affect performance. Research shows when people do not feel valued, they are less productive. Business leaders know productivity drives profit and customer satisfaction.
The Diversity Collaborative helps individuals recognize differences and manage personal behaviors at work. We have a diverse team of experienced diversity professionals located throughout the United States. Each researcher and trainer has unique strengths in a variety of cultural areas.
