Retreat Facilitation

The Diversity Collaborative offers retreats in the following topic areas:

  • Building Effective Work Teams
  • Personal and Team Goal Setting
  • Working with Difficult Customers
  • Communicating Beyond Differences
  • Creating a Trustful Work Environment
  • Board of Directors
  • Development/Strategy and Planning
  • Mission / Vision / Values

The value of an effective retreat is creating dynamics that allow individuals to feel comfortable enough to describe their ideal work environment and what they need in order to feel fully engaged, empowered, and energized.

Confidential Survey

We encourage each retreat to begin with a confidential assessment survey that allows information to surface about what works best for each team member, as well as potential obstacles that inhibit peak performance. Questions differ from organization to organization. The survey seeks to assess what individuals would like the session to achieve for their own benefit, as well as for the overall effectiveness of the team. Most surveys are conducted through an online service so that the anonymity of each respondent is assured.

Survey Report

Data from the survey is reported during the retreat so that the full team can learn what coworkers want and need in order to succeed. These data help create an agenda and activities designed to achieve specific organizational or learning objectives determined in partnership with a client.

Highly Interactive Sessions

Our activities are highly interactive and coordinated to maximize communication among participants. Each exercise is focused on achieving predetermined organizational and learning objectives set for the session.

Evaluation

Retreats are evaluated based on the extent to which participants believe the session achieved its objectives.
